How to Export Group Chats

You can export your group chat history as an HTML file. The export includes all messages from your sessions in the group and is sent to your email as a download link.

1. Open the Student App and log in
2. Navigate to the Groups section
3. Tap on the group whose chat you want to export
4. Tap the info icon in the top right corner to open group details
5. Tap the three dots menu icon in the top right corner
6. Tap “Export Chat” from the menu
7. A message will appear confirming that your export request is being processed
8. You’ll receive an email with a download link for your chat export
9. The email will include:
   • A link to download the HTML file
   • Information about the group
   • The number of messages included in the export
10. Click the download link in the email to download your chat history
11. The exported file is an HTML file that you can open in any web browser

Note

There’s a cooldown period of 4 hours between exports. If you request an export within 4 hours of a previous export, you’ll receive a link to the previously generated export instead of creating a new one.

Tip

The export includes all messages from your active sessions in the group. Messages are organized by session, making it easy to review your chat history chronologically.

Note

Exports are generated on the server and may take a few minutes to process, especially for groups with many messages. You’ll receive the email once the export is ready.
