How to Review Chat Group Requests
School chat group requests appear in the Chat Groups Requests tab where school staff can review and either accept or reject them.
- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
- Click on the “Chat Groups Requests” tab
- You’ll see a list of all group requests, including requests waiting for review and requests that have been rejected
- Click the three dots menu icon on the group request
- Click “View Details” from the menu
- In the group details dialog, you can see:
- Group name
- Group description
- Group creator (the student who requested it)
- Review the group request details to determine if it should be approved
- You have two options:
- Accept the request: Click the “Accept & Add New Group” button
- Reject the request: Click the “Reject” button
- If you click “Reject”, a dialog will appear asking for a reason
- Enter a reason for rejection
- Click “OK” to confirm the rejection
- If you click “Accept & Add New Group”, the group is created and students can start using it
- The student who requested the group will receive an email notification about the decision
