How to Reply to a Particular Message

You can reply to specific messages in a chat group to create threaded conversations and provide context for your responses.

1. Open the Student App and log in
2. Navigate to the Groups section
3. Tap on the group containing the message you want to reply to
4. Find the message you want to reply to in the chat
5. Swipe right on the message
6. A reply preview will appear above the message input field showing the original message content
7. Type your reply message in the input field
8. Tap the send button to send your reply
9. Your reply will appear in the chat with a visual indicator showing it’s a reply to the original message
10. The original message will be displayed above your reply for context

Note

You can only reply to messages if your account status in the group is active. If your account is disabled or you’ve left the group, you cannot send replies.

Tip

Replying to messages helps maintain context in group conversations, especially in active groups with many messages. Other members can see which message you’re responding to.

Tip

To cancel a reply before sending, tap the X icon on the reply preview.
