What Does Requested Confidentiality Mean?

Request confidentiality to ask that your identity be kept hidden when reporting an incident.

  1. When creating an incident report, locate the “Want to keep your identity hidden?” toggle switch
  2. The toggle is located near the bottom of the incident creation form
  3. By default, the toggle is OFF (confidentiality not requested)
  4. To request confidentiality, toggle the switch ON
  5. You can tap on the “Click here” button or info icon to learn more about confidentiality
  6. A sheet will open explaining:
    • What confidentiality means
    • How the school will handle your request
    • Important limitations

When you enable the confidentiality toggle:

  • Your report will be marked as “Requested Confidentiality”
  • You are requesting that your identity be kept hidden
  • The school will make efforts to honor your anonymity based on your choice
  • However, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed
  • The ultimate decision lies with the school administration
  • There is a chance your identity could be revealed if necessary for investigation or safety reasons

After submitting an incident:

  1. Open your incident from the incidents list
  2. In the incident detail view, you’ll see a confidentiality card showing:
    • “Requested Confidentiality” if you enabled the toggle
    • “Confidentiality Not Requested” if you left it disabled
  3. The card displays a lock icon and explains your confidentiality status
