What Does Requested Confidentiality Mean?
Request confidentiality to ask that your identity be kept hidden when reporting an incident.
How to Request Confidentiality
Section titled “How to Request Confidentiality”- When creating an incident report, locate the “Want to keep your identity hidden?” toggle switch
- The toggle is located near the bottom of the incident creation form
- By default, the toggle is OFF (confidentiality not requested)
- To request confidentiality, toggle the switch ON
- You can tap on the “Click here” button or info icon to learn more about confidentiality
- A sheet will open explaining:
- What confidentiality means
- How the school will handle your request
- Important limitations
Understanding Confidentiality
Section titled “Understanding Confidentiality”When you enable the confidentiality toggle:
- Your report will be marked as “Requested Confidentiality”
- You are requesting that your identity be kept hidden
- The school will make efforts to honor your anonymity based on your choice
- However, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed
- The ultimate decision lies with the school administration
- There is a chance your identity could be revealed if necessary for investigation or safety reasons
Viewing Your Confidentiality Status
Section titled “Viewing Your Confidentiality Status”After submitting an incident:
- Open your incident from the incidents list
- In the incident detail view, you’ll see a confidentiality card showing:
- “Requested Confidentiality” if you enabled the toggle
- “Confidentiality Not Requested” if you left it disabled
- The card displays a lock icon and explains your confidentiality status
