How to Accept or Reject Chat Group Requests
When students request to create private chat groups, you need to review and either accept or reject these requests. This guide explains both processes.
Accepting a Group Request
Section titled “Accepting a Group Request”- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
- Click on the “Chat Groups Requests” tab
- Find the group request you want to accept
- Click the three dots menu icon on the group request
- Click “View Details” from the menu
- Review the group information:
- Group name
- Group description
- Group creator (the student who requested it)
- If the group request is appropriate, click the “Accept & Add New Group” button
- The group is created and students can start using it
- The student who requested the group will receive an email notification confirming the acceptance
Rejecting a Group Request
Section titled “Rejecting a Group Request”- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
- Click on the “Chat Groups Requests” tab
- Find the group request you want to reject
- Click the three dots menu icon on the group request
- Click “View Details” from the menu
- Review the group information
- Click the “Reject” button
- A rejection reason dialog will appear
- Enter a reason for rejection in the text field
- Click “OK” to confirm the rejection
- The group request is rejected and students cannot use it
- The student who requested the group will receive an email notification explaining the rejection and the reason provided
