How to Create a Chat Group
- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section in the main navigation menu
- Click on the “Chat Groups” tab
- Click the “Create Group” button at the top right corner
- In the group creation dialog, you’ll see:
- Group Profile Picture - Click the profile picture area to upload a group logo (optional)
- “Is it active?” toggle - Set whether the group should be active or inactive
- Enter “Name” (required) - Enter a name for the chat group
- Enter “Description” (required) - Enter a description for the group
- Under “Student Representative” section, use the “Select Students” dropdown to search and select students who will be group representatives
- Selected students will appear in the “Selected Students” list below the dropdown
- You can remove a selected student by clicking the X icon next to their name
- Click “Save” to create the group
- The group will be created and appear in the Chat Groups list
