How to Create a Chat Group

  1. Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section in the main navigation menu
  2. Click on the “Chat Groups” tab
  3. Click the “Create Group” button at the top right corner
  4. In the group creation dialog, you’ll see:
    • Group Profile Picture - Click the profile picture area to upload a group logo (optional)
    • “Is it active?” toggle - Set whether the group should be active or inactive
  5. Enter “Name” (required) - Enter a name for the chat group
  6. Enter “Description” (required) - Enter a description for the group
  7. Under “Student Representative” section, use the “Select Students” dropdown to search and select students who will be group representatives
  8. Selected students will appear in the “Selected Students” list below the dropdown
  9. You can remove a selected student by clicking the X icon next to their name
  10. Click “Save” to create the group
  11. The group will be created and appear in the Chat Groups list
