How to Disable a Group Member
Disabling a group member prevents them from sending messages in the group while maintaining their membership record. They can still view the group and its messages but cannot participate in conversations.
- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
- Click on the “Chat Groups” tab
- Find the group containing the member you want to disable
- Click on the group to expand it and view the group members table
- Find the student member you want to disable in the members table
- Click on the student’s row
- The student’s status will toggle between “active” and “disabled”
- If the student is currently active, clicking will change their status to “disabled”
- The change takes effect immediately
