How to Edit Chat Group
You can edit a chat group’s name, description, profile picture, active status, and student representatives at any time.
- Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
- Click on the “Chat Groups” tab
- Find the group you want to edit in the list
- Click the three dots icon (more options menu) on the group row
- Select “Edit” from the popup menu
- In the edit dialog, you can modify:
- Group Profile Picture - Click the profile picture to upload a new logo or change the existing one
- “Is it active?” toggle - Change the group’s active status
- “Name” - Edit the group name
- “Description” - Edit the group description
- Student Representatives - Add or remove student representatives using the “Select Students” dropdown
- To add a student representative:
- Use the “Select Students” dropdown to search and select a student
- The student will appear in the “Selected Students” list
- To remove a student representative:
- Click the X icon next to the student’s name in the “Selected Students” list
- Click “Save” to apply all changes
- The group will be updated with your changes
