How to Review Chat Group Requests

Students can request to create private chat groups. These requests appear in the Chat Groups Requests tab where school staff can review and either accept or reject them.


  1. Log in to the School Web Portal and navigate to the Groups section
  2. Click on the “Chat Groups Requests” tab
  3. You’ll see a list of all group requests, including requests waiting for review and requests that have been rejected
  4. Click the three dots menu icon on the group request
  5. Click “View Details” from the menu
  6. In the group details dialog, you can see:
    • Group name
    • Group description
    • Group creator (the student who requested it)
  7. Review the group request details to determine if it should be approved
  8. You have two options:
    • Accept the request: Click the “Accept & Add New Group” button
    • Reject the request: Click the “Reject” button
  9. If you click “Reject”, a dialog will appear asking for a reason
  10. Enter a reason for rejection
  11. Click “OK” to confirm the rejection
  12. If you click “Accept & Add New Group”, the group is created and students can start using it
  13. The student who requested the group will receive an email notification about the decision
