How often is data refreshed in the dashboard?

Dashboard data is not refreshed on a fixed interval. It is fetched when you load the Dashboard and when you change filters. There is no automatic polling or timer-based refresh.

When data is refreshed

Opening the Dashboard
When you open Dashboard from the main navigation, the app fetches mood analytics and companion analytics. Summary cards and all charts (Mood Stats, Mood Distribution, Students Interaction with AI, Activity) are filled from this first load.
Changing filters
When you change Period, Age, Grade, or Class and the new selection is applied, the Dashboard refetches both mood and companion analytics. All cards and charts update from the new result. Removing a filter (via the X on a chip) or tapping Clear All also triggers a refetch.
No other automatic refresh
There is no “Refresh” button and no background timer. To see newer data, change a filter (e.g. adjust Period and set it back) or leave and re-open the Dashboard.

“Refreshed …” on the charts

Each chart shows when its data was last fetched, e.g. “Refreshed 5 minutes ago” or “Refreshed 1 hour ago”. That time is set when the last successful fetch for that Dashboard visit (or filter change) completed. After a filter change, all charts show the same “Refreshed” time.
