Mood Score Within Incident Report

The mood score provides insight into the emotional wellbeing of the student who reported the incident, calculated based on their reported moods over time.

The mood score is calculated based on reported moods. Each mood is assigned a specific weight:

  • Great (90)
  • Normal (70)
  • Sad (50)
  • Stressed (40)
  • Angry (30)
  • Scared (10)

For each period (week or month), the mood score is calculated as:

Average Mood Score = Sum of Mood Scores for that period / Number of Mood Entries logged for that period

  1. Navigate to the Incident Board and click on an incident
  2. In the incident detail view, locate the “Mood Graph” section in the center column
  3. View the mood score displayed alongside the graph
  4. Click the help icon (?) next to “Mood Score” for detailed information
  5. The graph shows mood trends over time, with line breaks indicating periods with no data
  • Line breaks occur when there is no data available for a particular day, week, or month
  • This indicates periods where no moods were reported
  • Filters allow you to view the mood data either on a weekly or monthly basis
  • Selecting “Weekly” shows the average mood score for each week
  • Selecting “Monthly” displays the average score for each month
  • Week numbers are calculated backward from the current week, with the current week labeled as Week 52
  • The week numbers decrease as you go back in time, ensuring the most recent data is always labeled as the highest week number
