How to Import Students (Bulk Invite)

  1. Log in to the School Web Portal and click on “Students” in the main navigation menu
  2. Click the upload icon button (next to “Invite Student” button) to open the bulk import dialog
  3. In the “Bulk Import & Invite Students” dialog, click “Upload CSV” to select your CSV file
  4. The CSV file must contain the following columns in order:
    • Email (required) - Student email address from an allowed domain
    • First Name (optional) - If not provided, will be extracted from email
    • Last Name (optional) - If not provided, will be extracted from email
    • Grade (optional) - Numeric grade value. If not provided, will be auto-assigned from your school’s default grade configuration
    • Division (optional) - Class/division name. If not provided, will be auto-assigned from your school’s default class configuration
  5. Review the uploaded data in the preview table (if shown)
  6. Click “Download Template” to get a sample CSV template with the correct format (optional)
  7. Click “Save” button - if the CSV is valid, the dialog will close and the “Data Preview” dialog will open automatically
  8. In the “Data Preview” dialog, review:
    • Import Summary - Total number of students and grade/division breakdown
    • Issues Found table - Validation results for each student row showing any validation errors or confirmation that checks passed
  9. Ensure all entries pass validation - entries with validation errors must be fixed before proceeding
  10. Click “Proceed with Import” button (only enabled when all entries pass validation) - this will process the invitations and close the Data Preview dialog
  11. The “Invitation Status” dialog will open showing the results of the bulk import process, including summary counts and a detailed status table for all students
  12. Click “Done” button to close the Invitation Status dialog
